Eleanor was born November 2, 1929 in Geneva, New York and was the daughter of Edward and Juanita (Warne) Shephard. Eleanor grew up in Geneva, met her husband James Thomas Meath, and they were wed on September 30, 1952 at St. Stephen’s Church. Eleanor was a feisty, spirited and energetic person. When she made an entrance, her presence was felt by everyone in attendance.

She is survived by her children James (Gail) Meath Jr., Debra (Stephan) Wlodarczyk; grandchildren Jennifer (William) Murphy, Jason (Carrie) Meath, Sarah Elyse Wlodarczyk, Stephan James Wlodarczyk; great-grandchildren Ashley (Hunter) Murphy, Ryan Murphy, Hayden Meath, Evan Meath; brother-in-law Leo (Gary) Meath, sisters-in-law Dorthy (Edward) Meath, Connie (Paul) Shephard and several nieces and nephews.
