Newark—Barbara C. Mayo, 86, died on Tuesday (June 30, 2015) at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday (July 7^th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Burial will follow at Newark Cemetery.

Memorials, in her name, may be made to either the American Heart Association, 3500 Winton Place, Rochester, New York 14623 or the American Cancer Society, 120 South Goodman Street, Rochester. New York 14620.

Mrs. Mayo was born on March 2, 1929 in Newark and graduated from Newark High School. For over fifty years, she owned and operated the Mayo Trailer Park on Vienna Street in Newark. She is survived by sons Jacob (Peggy) Provoost of Penn Yan and Randy (Debbie) Mayo of Newark, four grandchildren Jason Sapp, Tya Provoost, R.J. and Sham Mayo; five great grandchildren Cody, Kaden, Jadon, Rylee and Connor. Barbara was predeceased by her husband James on March 1, 2000.
