Lyons/Newark—Carrie Thomas, 54, died Friday (June 22, 2018) at her home in Lyons.

Friends may call Tuesday (June 26^th) from 5 to 7 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark, New York 14513, where a funeral will follow the calling hours.

Memorials, in her name, may be made the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, New York 14489.

Carrie was born in Rochester on February 27, 1964, the daughter of Lyell and Helen West Runion. She had a great love for animals.

She is survived by her best friend and partner of twenty-four years, James Ireland of Lyons; her father Lyell, brothers Perry and Gary Runion all of Rochester. Carrie was predeceased by her mother Helen Ruion; two brothers Terry and Jerry Runion.
