Lyons/Newark—Craig Steven Hughes, 57, died Saturday (May 23, 2015) at his home.

All services wil be private.

Mr. Hughes was born on August 21, 1957 in Canandaigua, the son of late Howard and Kathrine Hughes. He held many and various jobs throughout his career, the last being with the Canal System at the DryDock in Lyons. Craig has always been a willing volunteer of his services, helping the elderly, veterans and those in need.

He is survived by his wife Laurie, daughter Raedean Hughes of Sodus; step-son Jeb (Miranda) Mables of Newark; brother Scott (Terry) of Newark, sister Tami (Mike) McIlwain of Lyons; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many good friends. He was predeceased by a brother Todd.
