Williamson/Newark—James A. Hubbard, 77, died Sunday (January 21, 2018) at the Wayne County Nursing Home.


Friends may call from 1 -3 PM on Saturday (January 27th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. A graveside service will follow at the East Newark Cemetery.


Memorials, in his name, may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Rochester Chapter, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, New York 14620.


He was born on April 16, 1940 in Newark, the son of the late Russell and Dorothy Emerick Hubbard. Jim graduated from Newark High School and attended Rochester Institute of Technology. For several years, he had worked designing yellow page ads for the telephone books. Then for twenty years, Jim was a graphic artist for Kraus-LeFevre Studio in Rochester, retiring in 2009.


Jim is survived by his sons Jeffrey of Williamson and Jonathan (Hillary) of Norwood, CO.; three grandchildren Nicholas, Amber and Elbe; two brothers John (Sue) of Marquette, MI and Jerry (Joan) of Phoenix, AZ. He was predeceased by his wife Carolyn in of November 2016.







I had the pleasure of working with Jim for 5 years at Kraus Creative. He was a wonderful person, gentle and kind. The world has lost another angel.
