Newark— Llewellyn J. Davis, 84, died Friday (October 1, 2021) at Clifton Springs Hospital.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Lou was born in Newark, NY on August 10, 1937, the son of the late Harry and Alma DuBois Davis. He served his country from 1957-1962 in the US Army where he was a MP. He retired from the Texarkana Gazette. After retiring he moved back to his home town of Newark. He was a Crossing Guard at Kelly School and worked at the Vistor’s Center on the canal in Newark. He had also worked for the Finger Lakes Times delivering newspapers.

He is survived by his wife Terry McFarland Davis; four children Dorothy(Larry) Hann, David (Sherry ) Davis, Robert (Karen) Davis and Russell “RJ” Davis Kirchhoff; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, a granddaughter Mya Kirchhoff and his sister Virginia (Alfonso) Nieves.
