Newark—Richard L. Jewett Jr., 58, died Sunday, August 15, 2021at Geneva General Hospital.

Friends may call on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 5-7 PM at Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller St., Newark, NY. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, August 21^st, at the Elmwood Cemetery in Lyons, NY.

Mr. Jewett was born on December 8, 1962, the son of Richard and Dixie Witt Jewett in Lafayette, Indiana. For 40 years, Rich worked as an etcher at Newcut Inc. in Newark. He loved spending his free time fishing. He cherished watching his children and grandchildren growing up.

Rich is survived by four sons Richard III, Justin (Carla), and Tyler Jewett, Daniel Rodas; grandchildren Nevaeh, Jace, Maverick, Riley, Braxton, Peyton, Ashton and Alee; his girlfriend Susan Merton; his father Richard Sr.; a brother Robert Jewett; a sister Tammy (James) Smith; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Dixie Witt.
