Roni was born on January 9, 1955, in Clifton Springs, the daughter of late Leon and Mary Powell Stratton. She is survived four brothers Gerald (Johnny) Stratton of Newark, Leon Stratton of San Diego , CA, Antonio Ceravolo of Newark and Joseph of Ceravolo of Lyons.
