Newark— Shirley Jarmond, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Newark Manor.

Friends may call on Saturday, March 20th from 11 AM-1-PM at the Paul L. Murphy and Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark, NY. A celebration of her life will follow at the funeral home.

Shirley was born in Whortonsville, NC on November 21, 1934 the daughter of the late Frank and Lucy Heath Moseley. In 1956 she earned her Associate’s Degree from Cortez Peters Business College. She was a Supply Clerk at the Seneca Army Depot until they closed. She then finished her career at Wal-Mart. Before Shirley got sick and went to the nursing home she was a member of the St. Paul Full Gospel Church in Geneva where she served on the Mother’s Board and was president of the Pastor’s Aid Ministry. Even at the nursing home she was know for her love of Christ and hard work, fully committed to the work of the Lord.

She is survived by a daughter Toni Jarmond-Stallworth of Newark, a son Eric (Jennifer Fox) Jarmond of St. Petersburg, Florida; three grandchildren Anisha Stallworth, Michael Jarmond and Codi Jarmond; a brother Frank Moseley Jr. of Fairfield CA. She was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters and a son-in-law Jerry Stallworth.
