Newark"Alma David, 90, died Tuesday (July 24, 2007) at Newark-Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM on Friday (July 27th) at the Assembly of God, 1088 Hartnagle Road, Newark with Rev. Jeff Eveland officiating.. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Mrs. David was born on March 6, 1917 in the Town of Arcadia, New York, the daughter of Earl and Erra Compson Frech. She retired from C.H.Stuart, Inc. where she worked in the nursery and later in the jewelry division. In her retirement, Alma was employed with several area businesses.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lawrence, daughter Ruth Howard of Newark, son Charles (Nancy) Bryant of Stanton, Va., nine grandchildren Lawrence (Deb) Howard, Robert (Colleen) Howard, Barbara (Kirk) Kent, Mary Ann (Justin) Hartnagel, Ronald (Jeannette) Bryant, Raymond (Shelia) Bryant, Linda (Daniel) Fox, Susan (Jack) Holmes and NancyAnna (Darin) Thomas; twenty-one great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, sister-in-law Nona David, special family friend Gerald Schmidt, several nieces, nephews and cousins.-
