Newark"Anthony F. Muscolino, 85, of Edgett Street, on Monday (October 10, 2005) at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
No prior calling. Father Peter Clifford will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM on Saturday (Oct. 15th) at St. Michael's Church, 400 South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery with full military honors.
Memorials in Tony's name may be made to St. Michael's School, 311 S. Main St. Newark, NY 14513.
Mr. Muscolino was born in Lancaster, Pa. on July 8, 1920, the son of Frank and Jenny Lipari Muscolino. He graduated from Newark High School in 1939 and served for six years during World War II in the South Pacific. Tony was a communicant of St. Michael's Church and a member of the Arcadia Memorial Post 2883, VFW. He retired from the Newark Development Center where he had worked twenty-five years. Over the years, Tony owned and operated several businesses in Newark including Muscolino Liquor Store, The Billiard Academy, Newark Clothing Center, and South End Soda Bar. He also owned various rental properties.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 57 years Dorothy, four sons Michael (Susan) of Newark, Thomas of Newark, Charles (Lisa) Macedon and Daniel (his fianc Linda) of Newark, a daughter Barbara (Anthony) Ferrera of Irondequoit, eight grandchildren Korie, Michael, Marc, Alayna, Nathan, Nicholas Muscolino, Eugene and Gabriella Ferrera, a sister Mary Muscolino, and brother Peter (Marian) Pagnattaro both of Newark.
The family is being served by the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home.
