Newark/Waterloo---Anthony J. Passalacqua, 79, died on Saturday (March 22, 2008), with his loving family at his side at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Family and friends may call Monday (March 24th) from 5 " 8 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Father Mark Brewer will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Tuesday (March 25th) at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery in Seneca Falls.

Mr. Passalacqua was born on June 10,1928, in Geneva the son of Francis and Imaculata (Mary) Passalacqua. He retired from New York State Electric and Gas after 38 years. Friends may also remember him from his time working at the Town Pump. Tony was strong in his faith and enjoyed volunteering much of his time to the churches in his communities. He shared his gift of gardening with friends and family. Tony was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by all.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Sinicropi Passalacqua, son Francis (Kathleen) of Longview, TX, daughters Ann Marie (Steven) VandeMortel and Toni Marie (Chris) Avery of Newark, grandsons Alex and Nolan Avery of Newark, Santino Passalacqua of Dallas, TX and Michael (Jessica) Passalacqua of Hawaii, granddaughters Nicole (Erik) Myles, Regina (Chris) Deslatte and Christina (Craig) Little of Longview, TX, five great grandchildren, sisters Mamie Ferrara of Yonkers, Violet (Anthony) Piscitelli of Seneca Falls, Rose Rollo and Celia Bonetti of Geneva, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by is sisters Mary Leone, of Seneca Falls, Ellen Antinelli of Geneva and a brother John Farula of Seneca Falls.
