Arthur H. Mander
Savannah-- Arthur H. Mander, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (October 30, 2013) at the DeMay Living Center.
Friends may call Monday (November 4th) from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. with a funeral service following at 1 P.M. at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Interment will be in Fairville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or Lifetime Care Hospice.
Arthur was born February 23, 1920 in Palmyra, the son of George and Eva Werner Mander. He retired from Sylvania after 25 years. In his retirement, he spent many years traveling and enjoying his time in his garden. Arthur truly lived his life to the fullest with many friends and his family.
He is survived by his sister Mary Heald, his sweet girlfriend Eva Hyde; grandchildren Larry Mander, Angel Rohnke and Irene (Roger) Bates; great grandchildren Adrianna, Logan and Lara; cousins, nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. Art was predeceased by his parents, his wife Serlina, his children Emily Mander, Barbara Engman and Larry Mander, Sr., and his sixteen siblings.
