Barbara B. Cuyler
Newark—Barbara B. Cuyler, 96, died on Friday (August 26, 2011) at the Aaron Nursing Home in Penfield.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday (August 29th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark with Rev. Dan Pope officiating. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.
Memorials in her name may be made to American Heart Association, 3500 Winton Place, Rochester, New York 14624.
Mrs. Cuyler was born on April 18, 1915 in Newark, the daughter of Edward and Inez Beach. A graduate of the Katharine Gibbs School in Boston, she worked for several years as a secretary at the Newark Development Center. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Newark. Barbara had been a member of the Newark Country Club and was an avid bridge player. She grew up in Lyons, lived many years in Newark and before going to Penfield had lived at Ashton Place in Clifton Springs.
Barbara is survived by two nieces Nancy Cuyler of Fl. and Susan Swain of KS and long time family friends David DiRaddo and Marquita Peterson of Macedon. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell in 2009 and a son David in 1967.
