Newark—Barbara Reifsteck, 57, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Rochester General Hospital.

Family and friends may call from 4 – 6 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Paul L. Murphy and Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark, NY. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Barbara was born in Penn Yan NY on January 15, 1965, the daughter of Kenneth and Charlotte Ellis Reifsteck. She was a graduate of Marion High School, Class of 1983. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Keuka College. For many years she was a Program Manager at IEC in Newark. As her health worsened she took a part time job at the Happiness House. She was a member of Cross Creek Church. Spending time with her grandson brought her so much joy.

Barbara is survived by a daughter Brittney (Jeremy) Wood of Newark; grandson Jaxon Wood; parents Kenneth and Charlotte Reifsteck of Marion; a brother Timothy Reifsteck of Newark; many nieces and nephews.
