Beatrice Sapp
Newark --- Beatrice Sapp, 74, of West Sherman Avenue, died suddenly on Thursday (May 14, 2009), at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Friends may call from 2-4 PM on Sunday (May 17th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday (May 18th) at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will follow in Newark Cemetery
Memorials are suggested to either the American Cancer Society or St. Michael's Church.
Mrs. Sapp was born July 29, 1934 in Waterloo, the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Recktinwald Gross. Over the years, Beatrice had worked at Jackson Perkins, Russ Packing and Spinco. She retired from Parker Hannifin. She was a member of St. Michael's Church in Newark
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Henry, two sons Thomas of Newark and Henry of Fairville, a daughter Nancy (Rich Hess) Sapp of Inverness, FL., 4 grandchildren April Paterson, Joseph Sapp, Cody and Zachery Hess, 2 great grandchildren Emily Sapp and Justin Paterson; siblings Thomas (Mary) Gross, Kenneth Gross, Alfreda (Donald) Dwello all of Waterloo and Delores Yockum of Wayland, many nieces and nephews. Beatrice was predeceased by a daughter Debbie Sieling in 1980, five siblings Arlene Gibbs, James Gross, Rosalind May, Alfred Gross and Billy Gross.
