Lyons---Betty J. Devlin, 78, died Tuesday (February 24, 2009) at Rochester General Hospital.

Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Thursday ( February 26, 2009) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday (February 27, 2009) at the Lyons United Methodist Church, 93 William Street Lyons. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Town of Lyons Ambulance.

Mrs. Devlin was born on December 28, 1930, in Newark, the daughter of John and Irene DeCann Lohman. She had worked in the cafeteria at the Lyons High School and was a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church. Betty loved to play cards and bingo.

She is survived by her children Barb Bornheimer, Bernard (Elaine) Devlin, Jr., Bonita (Dale) Bullock, Scott (Diane) Devlin all of Lyons and Diana Devlin of OK; fifteen grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, two brothers John (Sharon) Lohman of Rochester, Gary (Pat) Lohman of VA, a sister Irene Schmeer of Canandaigua, several nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her husband Bernard Sr. in 1988, her parents and a brother Donald Lohman

There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. on Tuesday (Feb. 24th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.

Russ is survived by his wife of 69 years Barbara, two nieces Nancy Cuyler and Susan Swain, and long time family friends David DiRaddo and Marquita Peterson of Penfield. He was predeceased by his son David in 1967, a brother and a sister.
