Newark---Betty Vanderlinde 85, passed away Saturday (October 25, 2014) at her home.
Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. on Tuesday (October 28^th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday (October 29^th) at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairville Cemetery.

Mrs. Vanderlinde was born on December 30,1928 in Ontario NY, the daughter of Isaac and Jennie (Leenhouts) Willemsen. She start as a telephone operator for New York Telephone and then became a customer service representitive retiring in 1984. Betty had been an member and Deacon of the Fairville Presbyterian Church and an active member of the womens group. She enjoyed hunting with her husband as well as camping and fishing with her family. Betty loved gardening and enjoyed watching the wildflife from her sunroom.

She is survived by her daughters Barbara (William) Smith of Seneca Falls, Kathy (Daniel) Kaiser of Bloomfield and Sharon Vanderlinde of Newark, 6 grandchildren Randy, Christopher and William Smith, Michelle Uthe(fiance Arland Bradley), Gregory (Heather) Kaiser, Terry (Carrie) Morse and 3 great grandchildren Lena Uthe, Grace and Noah Kaiser; a sister Dorothy Ehrhardt of Newark , several nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Ralph in 2013 and her brother Isaac Willemsen in 2009.
