Newark"Betty Federico Zito, 80, on Monday (November 17, 2008) at the House of John.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday (Nov. 21st) at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in the Newark Cemetery.

Memorials in her name may be made to the House of John, 14 Spring Street, Clifton Springs, New York 14432.

Mrs. Zito was born on February 13, 1928, in Syracuse, the daughter of John and Mary Serens Gnagie. She was a member of St. Michael's Church. Betty worked at Sarah Coventry in Newark for 20 years. Later she moved to Avon, where she was the cook and housekeeper at St. Agnes Catholic Church's rectory for 27 years. In her retirement, she returned to Newark.

Betty is survived by two sons Barry (Julie) Federico of Newark, John Federico of Bethesda, MD and a daughter Frances Federico of Alexandria, VA, a grandson Todd Federico of Windsor, CT., two sisters Ida Tolbert and Marie (Carl) Soliman both of Newark. She was predeceased by her husbands Frank Federico in 1976 and Tony Zito in 1994 and a son Dennis Federico in 2008.
