Newark"Bettyjane Schmidlin" 65, died Friday (February 24, 2006) at her home on Cambier Road.
No prior calling hours. Father Peter Clifford will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Monday (Feb. 27th) at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in East Palmyra Cemetery.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Finger Lakes Community Cancer Center, 6 Coulter Road, Clifton Springs, New York 14432 or to St. Michael's Church, 401 South Main Street, Newark, New York 14513.
Mrs. Schmidlin was born on August 30, 1940 in Rochester the daughter of Harry and Jean Burylski Webb. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1957. She was a resident of the Newark area for the past 30 years and a communicant of St. Michael's Church. BJ had worked in the Deli Department at the Newark Wegman's for several years. She enjoyed dancing and was a member of the Kuntry Kuzzin's Square Dancers. BJ was also an avid NASCAR fan and loved gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Norbert J., two sons Joseph of Brighton and Norbert R. of Blaine, Wash., three grandchildren Sara, Naomi, and Francis Khai, her mother Jean Webb of Bradenton, Fl, a brother Raymond (Chrissey) Webb of Bradenton, Fl, two aunts Arlene Burylski, B.J. (Gene) Scobell of Kendall, a sister-in-law Audrey Bochm of Webster, several nieces and nephews.
