Clifton Springs-- Brenda Lee DeRycke Ahern, 49, passed away Saturday (June 29th) at Clifton Springs Hospital. All funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Port Gibson Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Brenda's Family, (in care of) 709 Church Street, Newark ,New York 14513.

Brenda was born on February 20, 1964 in Newark, New York, the daughter of Alouise and Eileen (Coon)DeRycke.She was a longtime carrier for the Democrat and Chronicle. For the past eight years she had been working in food service at Midlakes Elementary School. Brenda is survived by her two sons Jason Sampson and Patrick Ahern both of Clifton Springs, her mother Eileen DeRycke of Newark, her siblings Eugene (Elizabeth) DeRycke of Sand Springs Oklahoma;Tina (Fiance Mark Austin) DeRycke of Newark; Beth (Paul) Chaconas of Mt Pleasant South Carolina and Steven DeRycke of Palmyra;many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father Alouise and step-mother Karen DeRycke.
