East Palmyra" Brian G. Edwards, 55, of East St, died Thursday (June 15, 2006) at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Saturday (June 17th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. A Mass of Christian Burial for Brian will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday (June 19th) at St Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark.

A life long resident of the area, Brian was born in Newark on January 3, 1951, the son of Gilbert and Clara "Iona" Penrith Edwards. He was an employee of Whelan Cadillac and then Piehler Pontiac where he had been a mechanic, parts manager and service manager over his many years of employment.

Brian is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janice Mutch Edwards, two sons Brian C. of Okmuglee, OK and Chad (Gail) of Fairport, six grandchildren Brian M., Ashley, Bradley, Alex, Tyler and Collin; two brothers Gary (Chris) of Lyons and Gilbert (Ruby) of Newark, a sister Barbara Jean Withey of Lyons, two aunts, a uncle, several nieces and nephews.
