Newark—Bryan Keith Deon, 36, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Via Christi Hospital in Wichita, Kansas, from complications of a previously undetected condition causing a fatal brain aneurysm.

Bryan was born in Rochester, NY on July 11, 1973 to Roger and Dorothy (Horton) Deon.  He graduated from Newark Sr. High, Class of 1991, and attended Roberts Wesleyan College.  He served in the US Army as a Private First Class.  Trained as a Combat Engineer, he was stationed with the 464^th Engineer Battalion, Webster, New York, (US Army Reserves) and later with the 1^st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, KS (US Army Active Duty). He has been residing in South Hutchinson KS. 

Bryan is survived by his fiancé, Christina Barker; his parents, Roger & Eileen (Custer) Deon of Sodus, New York; and his brother Roger (Michele) Deon of Lexington, Kentucky; sister Connie (Andrew) Babcock of St. Joseph, Michigan; sister Kristy (Dan) Henson of Newark, New York; brother Addam (Roxanne) Deon of Newark, New York; and 11 nieces and nephews.  His mother, Dorothy Leandra, predeceased him in 1980.
