Camille DeFelice
Newark—Camille DeFelice, 93, died Thursday (March 16, 2017) at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
Friends may call from 11 AM to 1 PM on Saturday (March 25th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.
Memorials, in his name, may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Camille was born September 21, 1923 in Newark, son of the late Guiseppi “Joe” and Rose Caldorado DeFelice. He was a 1943 graduate of Newark High School and the Continental School of Beauty in Rochester. He opened “Camille's Beauty Salon" in 1947 above the Capital Theater in Newark. He Loved his profession and kept the doors open through 2016 at his current location on Mason Street.
Camille is survived by his wife Mary Storti DeFelice; his son David (Rinda Kane); three granddaughters, Suzanne (Richard Vilmenay), Claire and Gina DeFelice; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sister, Ellen Pantuzzi, Jennie Ward and Josephine Case.
Camille's famly was extremely important to him. He and Mary demonstrated their love and devotion to each other for 69 years. He especially loved all the time he spent with his three granddaughters. They will always remember his playful spirit, discussions on healthy living and his loving nature.
