Newark/Palmyra"Carol T. VanDeWalle, 67, of Mason Street, Newark, died Thursday (February 17, 2005) at Clifton Springs Hospital.
Friends may call from 2-5 PM on Sunday (Feb. 20th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services will be at 10 AM on Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Gerald Harris officiating. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Clifton Springs Hospital Respiratory Care Department, 4 Coulter Road, Clifton Springs, New York 14432.
Mrs. VanDeWalle was born in Owego on December 12, 1937, the daughter of Emil and Albertina Fuller Tilly. She was a graduate of Pal-Mac High School and had lived in Palmyra before moving to Newark five years ago. Carol enjoyed collecting toys and beanie babies.
She is survived by two daughters Sandra King and Rebecca VanDerlike both of Newark and a son Craig (Vicki VanDeWalle of Palmyra, four grandchildren Chad, Calvin, Steven and Kristi, two sisters Linda Tellier of Newark and Sharon Tilly of Savannah, two brothers Paul (Betty Lou) Tilly of Avon and Michael (Lisa) Tilly of Palmyra, several nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her husband James in 1987, two sons Kurt in 1979 and Timothy in 1981, a sister Betty Miller and brother Emil Tilly.
