Newark—Chuck Mann, 81 died on Friday (July 6, 2018) at the Wayne County Nursing Home
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday (July 10th) at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be at the Riverview Cemetery in Phelps.

Charles was born on April 10, 1937 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of the late Charles and Agnes Wiezbiski Mann. He graduated from Decatur High School in 1955 and Georgia Tech in 1960 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Chuck served in the US Army Reserve for eight years. He was a mechanical engineer at Parker Hannifin in Lyons for 27 years, retiring in 2000. Charles was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Newark where he served as an Eucharistic Minister, as a Stephen Minister, on the Parish Council, with the Jail Ministry and a Cursillista. Chuck also was active with and had been President of the St. Michael Home School Association. He had been a member of the Knights of Columbus
Chuck is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruth; his children Grace (Michael) Norcott of Newark, John (Kim) of Wake Forest, NC, James of Waterloo, Bridget Mann of Newark, Kevin (Kimberly of Gorham, ME, Maureen (Jay) Booth of Seneca Falls, and Matthew (Norma) of Rochester; fourteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister Peggy (Dean) Strawn of Long Valley, NJ.
