Christopher John O'Connor

Newark--- Christopher J. O'Connor, 25, died Thursday (February 5, 2009) at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital following a snowmobile accident that evening.

Friends may call from 3-7 PM on Sunday (February 8, 2009) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Father Felix Dalimpuo will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM on Monday (February 9, 2009) at St. Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Chris was born in Newark, on February 10, 1983, the son of John P. and Patricia VanDamme O'Connor. He attended Newark High School and was a member of St. Michael's Church. Chris was a carpenter working for his father at John P. O'Connor Construction. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed snowmobiling.

He is survived by his mother Patricia of Fairport and father John, three brothers Chad, Colby and Clay all of Newark, his paternal grandfather Edward O'Connor of Port Gibson, his girlfriend Amanda Martin, many cousins, aunts and uncles.
