Clarence M. “Joe” Twist
Port Gibson—Joe Twist, 74, died Wednesday (November 13, 2013) at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorials, in his name, may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 160 Allens Creek Road, Rochester, New York 14618.
Mr. Twist was born on November 26, 1938, in Seneca Falls, the son of the late Clarence J. and Augustine Beecher Twist. He was a 1956 graduate of Mynderse Academy and continued his education at trade schools for barbering and then meat cutting. Joe worked as a machinist for Seneca Fall Machine Shop for thirty years and then for ten years at Richardson Foods. He loved antiquing, going to auctions and most of all being with his family.
He is survived by his fiancee Jean Vitaro of Port Gibson; his daughter Linda Twist; a sister Edith (Ray) Paone of Newark; two brothers James (Dorothy) of Canandaigua and Thomas (Virginia) of Ovid; several nieces and nephews. Joe was predecease by five siblings, William Twist, Rose Palochick, Marlene, Joan and Kathryn Twist.
