Clifton Springs/Port Gibson—David D. Baker, 56, died Wednesday (January 7, 2015) at his home.
Friends may call from 1-3 P.M. on Sunday (January 11^th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark, where funeral services will follow at 3P.M. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Memorials, in his name, may be made to American Cancer Society, 1120 South Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14620 or the American Heart Association, 3500 Winton Place, Rochester, NY 14618.

Dave was born on March 28, 1958 in Canandaigua the son of the late Alfred and Shirley Johnson Baker. He graduated of Newark High School in 1977. Dave had worked on farms before he started working at Plassche Lumber where he has worked for the past twenty-nine years.

He is survived by his sons John and Heath Baker; stepsons Cree Baker of Phelps and Thor Baker of Newark; several grandchildren; sisters Janice Baker of Newark and Jodi Brown of Lyons; stepbrother Chris Dailey of Newark; nieces and nephews; good friends Walt and Nancy Willard of Port Gibson; Klint Kuhlman of Williamson and Jason Allen of RI. David was predeceased by his brother Ricky Baker and stepsister Joy Weimer.
