Newark—David F. Collins, 63, died Friday (February 4, 2011) at his winter home in North Fort Myers, Florida.

          Friends may call on Sunday (May 15, 2011) from 2 to 4 P.M. at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark. Following the calling hours, friends and family are invited to the Newark Elks Club for a time of good food and fellowship.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday (May 16, 2011) at St. Michael’s Church, S. Main Street, Newark.  Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

          Memorials in his name may be made to St. Michael’s Church, 401 South Main Street, Newark, New York 14513.

          Mr. Collins was born February 10, 1947, in Newark, the son of the late Robert and Madeline Wiebeld Collins.  He retired from Kodak where he was a supervisor in the roll coating department.   A 1965 graduate of Newark High School, Dave was a member of St. Michael’s Church.  He also was a member of the Newark Elk Club and had been a member of the Newark Country Club.  Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.

          He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Huebeler Collins of Newark, two daughters Jennifer (Jesse) Strazzabosca of Lyons and Maureen Collins of Newark; three grandsons Zachary and Benjamin Block, JohnDavid Strazzabosca; six siblings Patty DeJohn of Newark, Catherine Nolan of Tom River, N.J., Mary Charlebois of Lyons, Steven (Tracy) Collins of Rochester, Karen Medora of Newark, Susan (Daniel) Bailey of Newark; many nieces and nephews.
