David G. Crane
Newark—David Gerald Crane, 69, died Tuesday (July 12, 2011) unexpectedly in his sleep at home.
Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. on Thursday (July 14, 2011) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Friday (July 15th) at 11 A.M. with Rev. Dan Benedict officiating. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery with full military honors.
Mr. Crane was born July 23, 1941 in Penn Yan, the son of Edward and Geraldine Kapuschat Crane. After finishing high school, he enlisted in the US Army during the Viet Nam War serving in Korea. Dave was a printer for over twenty years at Mobil Chemical in Macedon and then at Relm Converting/Cory Printing and Packaging in Palmyra. In his retirement, he has been working in security at Canandaigua Wine Company. He was a member of the August Mauer Post #285 American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy McIntyre Crane, a daughter Kristina (John) Scofield of Walworth; a son William (Debra) of Palmyra; four grandchildren Emily and Rachelle Scofield, Lauren and Taylor Crane; his mother Geraldine Kapuschat Crane Jaeger of Phelps; a sister Dawn (Walter) Covert of Phelps; brothers Steven of Pearcy, Ark. and Royce (Linda) of Royal, Ark.; several nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by his father Edward.
