Newark"Delia M. Colarocco, 90, died on Thursday (November 16, 2006) at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

Friends may call from 2-5 P.M. on Sunday (Nov. 19th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday (Nov. 20th) at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Mrs. Colarocco was born on July 21, 1916 in Lyons, the daughter of Thomas and Rose Fischette Battaccio. She retired from the Newark Developmental Center in 1979, where she had worked as an attendant. Delia was a communicant of St. Michael's Church.

She is survived by her son Thomas B. of Newark, six grandchildren Dino, Ashley, Thomas A., Marina, Johanna and James; seven great grandchildren; a brother Raymond of Pa., two sisters Flora Avoli of Buffalo and Jen (John) DaPolito of Clyde. She was predeceased by a son Barry, three siblings Elenor DeLisio, Joseph and Daniel Buttaccio.
