Deloras E. Bowker
Newark ---Deloras E Bowker, 75, died on Saturday (July 13, 2013) at the Newark Wayne Community Hospital.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. on Tuesday (July 16th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark, New York. Father Felix Dalimpuo will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. on Wednesday (July 17th) at St. Michael Church, 401 South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.
Memorials, in her memory, may be made to St. Micheal’s Church.
Mrs. Bowker was born on April 5 1938, in Newark, the daughter of Henry and Mary DeWind Tange. She was a 1955 graduate of Clifton Springs High School. Deloras was a communicant of St. Michael's Church and a member of the Rosary and Altar Society. She was a avid Newark Reds sport fan, attending as many of the games she could or catching them on the radio or television. Deloras enjoyed time with her lady friends and making crafts for St. Micheal’s Holiday Bazaar
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Deloras is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard; her children Connie (Craig) Syron of Newark, Daniel (Jackie) Bowker of Waxhaw, NC, Daryl (Amy) Bowker of Victor and Cheryl (Michael) Call of Rochester; twelve grandchildren, two brothers Charles (Joanne) Tange of Temple, Texas and Tom (Sherrill) Tange of Syracuse; a sister Debra (Dennis) Fuller of Houston, TX and sister-in-law Priscilla Tange of Canandaigua; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother John Tange.
