Newark---Domenico Fruci, 76, died on Monday (December 22, 2008) at Rochester General Hospital.

Friends may call on Friday (Dec. 26th) from 3-7 PM and on Saturday from 9-10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (Dec. 27th) at 11 AM at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark, New York. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.

Mr. Fruci was born on October 1, 1932 in Curinga, Italy, the son of Francesco and Anna Trovato Fruci. He came to the United States in 1961. He worked at the Perinton Manor for many years. Mr. Fruci retired from the Village of Newark in 1994 where he had been a heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by his wife Maria, daughters Anna (David) Miller of Wakefield, MA, Vittoria Fruci of Amherst, NY, Francesca (Kirk) Nelson of York, PA and Rosetta Fruci of Newark, three grandchildren Nicole Miller, Luke and Isabella Nelson, a sister Vittoria (Guisseppe) Fruci-Gullo of Italy. Domenico was predeceased by a daughter Maria in 1984.
