Newark—A. Donald Bramante, 86, died Thursday (October 6, 2016) at his home in Washington, D.C.
Friends may call on Wednesday (October 19th) from 10-11 AM at the Paul L.Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark, NY where a funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.
Mr. Bramante was born in Newark on March 31, 1930, the son of Joseph and Mary Amrose Bramante. He was a graduate of Newark High School and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Donald was a retired diplomat with the US State Department. He enjoyed singing and was a member of the Washington D.C. Capital Mens Chorus and Barber Shop Quartet
He is survived by his children Mary Cain, of Hagerstown, MD, Gina Corcione of Alney, MD, Michael Bramante of Austin, TX and Niki Moyer of San Diego, CA; two grandchildren Justin Watson and Jack Bramante. Donald was predeceased by his siblings Pat Bramante, Joseph Bramante, Eleanor Lapresi and Lorraine Austin.
