Newark/Rochester—Donald Charles Waters, 88, died Saturday (July 21, 2018) at Highland Hospital in Rochester.
Friends may call from 4 till 6 PM on Friday (August 3rd) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday (Aug 4th) at St. Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Clyde.

Don was born on February 2, 1930 in Fowlerville, New York, one of eleven children of the late William and Jessica Jackson Waters. He served four years in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Don was the manager of the Department of Defense Office in Rochester and Buffalo, retiring in 1978. Don was a Gospel Singer and for several years he traveled with a Music Ministry Group. He loved to sing.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara; daughters Christine (James) Waters-Clayton of Altanta, GA, Cynthia Waters of New York City and Paula Di Santo of Melbourne, FL; six grandchildren ; seven great grandchildren; his sister Alice Duncan of Detroit, MI. Don is predeceased by daughter Charlene Coal, sons Patrick Di Santo and Larry Griffin.
