Donald F. Brunner
Newark- Donald F Brunner, 79, died Sunday (January 12, 2014) at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
No prior calling hours. A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday (January 16th) at the Park Presbyterian Church, Maple Court, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.
Memorials, in his name, may be made to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, New York 14489 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, New York 14620.
Mr. Brunner was born on May 17, 1934 in Rochester, son of the late Herbert and Iva Rivenberg Brunner. He was a graduate of Edison Tech in 1952 and had attended R.I.T. For 52 years, Don owned and operated Rose City Glass in Newark, retiring in 2009. He was a member of the Park Presbyterian Church, the Newark Elks and the Newark Lions Club. Don enjoyed his golf and had been a member of the Newark Country Club and the Clifton Springs Country Club.
Don is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara (Taggart), a son Donald A. (Amy) of Donaldsonville, Louisiana, daughters Laurie (Jerry) Seely and Linda (Roger) VandeMortel of Newark; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; his twin brother Arthur (Gladys) of Kenneth City, Florida; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Herbert “Skip”.
