Newark/Lyons—Dorothy E. Chambers, 83, died Monday (September 5, 2011) at the DeMay Living Center.

            Friends may call from 4-6 P.M. on Monday (September 12^th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark, where funeral services will follow at 6 P.M.  Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.

            Mrs. Chambers was born November 12, 1927 in Oswego, the daughter of the late Gordon and Mary Pelton Doyle.  She at one time owned and operated Dotty's Restaurant with her husband and then was a cook in various other restaurants in the Lyons area.

            Dorothy is survived by three sons Oscar Conaway Jr. of Lyons, Edward Conaway of North Carolina and Keith Conaway of Newark; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her husband Charles Chambers, a daughter Mary Ellen Herd and brothers Art and Emerson Doyle.
