Newark—Elaine Housecamp, 67, died on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Friendly Home in Brighton.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, Mar. 27^th from 4 to 6 PM at Paul L. Murphy and Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark, NY. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, Mar. 28th at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name, may be made to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Rd., Lyons, NY 14489.

Elaine was born in Newark, on May 6, 1956, the daughter of the late Richard and Petrina Prinzi Housecamp. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Buffalo. She worked in the accounting department of Exxon Mobil for many years. A communicant of St. Michael Church in Newark, she was active in the church musical groups. An avid reader, she loved in her book clubs. Elaine loved her cats.

She is survived by a brother David Housecamp; nieces Emily (Craig Abraham) Pelkowski and Mary Housecamp; great nieces Charlotte and Julia; sister-in-law Jeanette Housecamp; best friend Jennifer Gokey and many beloved cousins.
