Newark---Eleanor T. Anderson, 84, formerly of the Armstrong Living Center died on Tuesday (July 22, 2008), at the House of John in Clifton Springs, NY.

Friends may call Friday (July 25th) from 5 " 8 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday (July 26th) at the United Church, 11 Gibson Street, Canandaigua, NY. Burial will be in the West Leyden Cemetery, West Leyden, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the House of John, 14 Spring Street, Clifton Springs, New York 14432.

Mrs. Anderson was born on September 14, 1923, in Rome, NY the daughter of Frank E. and Winnie Wolfe. She retired as secretary to the principal for the French Road School in Brighton, NY. Eleanor was a long time resident of Palmetto, Florida. She loved to play the organ.

She is survived by her daughter Priscilla (Paul) Utter of Newark, niece Nancy Venette of Fairport, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Carlton E. "Andy" in 2006 and son Paul A. in 2005.
