Newark ---Eleanor R. Custer, 80 passed away Saturday (October 12, 2013) at the Wayne County Nursing Home.

​Friends may call from 2-4  P.M. on Tuesday (October 15th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark where a funeral service will follow at 4 P.M.  Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.  

​Mrs. Custer was born on October 5, 1933 in Newark, the daughter of Harlan and Ruth Goodman Tyler.  She was a member of the Newark Free Methodist Church  

​She is survived by children Kenneth of Newark, Eileen (Roger) Deon of Sodus, Marilyn Ford of Newark, Timothy of Fairville, Jeffery (Tammy) of Palmyra, Alicia (friend Doug) St. Thomas of Lyons, Charlotte (friend Rick) Brant of Newark, Becky Custer of Newark; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; siblings Gerald (Joanne) Tyler of Lyons, Bonnie (Lowell) Harmon of KY, Ronald of FL, many nieces and nephews.  Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1977; daughter Kelly Perrotta in 2010; siblings Harlon, Lettie Case, Shirley Everett, LaVern and Harold.
