Elizabeth "Betty" Parker

Newark/Clifton Springs"Elizabeth J. Parker, 87, died on Sunday (September 24, 2006) at the Clifton Springs Hospital.

Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. on Tuesday (September 26th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Father Peter Clifford will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Wednesday (September 27th) at St. Michael's Church, 401 South Main Street, Newark. Burial will follow at the Webster Rural Cemetery.

Memorials in her name may be made to the St Michael Church, 401 South Main St. Newark, New York 14513.

Mrs. Parker was born on July 9, 1919, in Rochester, New York the daughter of William and Charlotte Calligan Kime. She graduated from Webster High School and the Rochester Business Institute. Betty was a communicant of St. Michael's Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Legion of Mary. She was Charter Member of the Clifton Springs Country Club and a member of the Clifton Springs Rotary Club where she was Paul Harris Fellow. Betty was an avid bridge player belonging to several bridge clubs.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon (William) Finewood of Newark, a son William S. Parker of Syracuse, five grandchildren Lisa Moorman, Scott Parker, Kristen Nix, Sara Forsyth and Jonathan Finewood, three great grandchildren John Nix, Isaac and Rebecca Moorman; special nieces and nephew Mary Jane Barringer, Kay Frank and Robert Kime all of Webster.
