Sodus/Newark—Ellis Singleton, 70, died Tuesday, (June 14, 2011) at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

            Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. on Thursday (June 16^{st )} at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark.   A funeral service will be at 11 A.M. on Friday (June 17^th) at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Sodus Cemetery.

            Mr. Singleton was born December 12, 1940 in Estill, South Carolina.  He moved to New York State in 1965 with his wife Mary Lee Singleton.  For many years, Ellis worked for Seneca Foods and Xerox.             

            He is survived by his children Brenda Singletary of Sodus, Ellis (Delores) Singleton, Jr. of Oswego, Doris (fiancé Ron Yonker) and Shirley Singleton both of Newark; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; special friends Susan Barbosa and Veronica Lieberman; two brothers and a sister.  Ellis was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and a sister
