Erik Levon Loghry
Newark/East Palmyra-Erik Levon Loghry, died on Sunday (June 1, 2014) at Strong Memorial Hospital as a result of a motorcycle accident earlier in the day.
A memorial service will be held at 7 P.M. on Friday (June 6th) at the Kingdom Hall of the Newark Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Memorials, in his name, may be made to the Kingdom Hall, 201 Silver Hill Road, New York 14513.
Mr. Loghry was born on March 15, 1961 in Billings, Montana, the son of Albert and Sue Ellen Stewart Loghry. He spent his youth and graduated from high school in Oregon. Erik moved to New York State thirty years ago and has spent the last seventeen here in Newark. He has been a professional driver all his adult life and has been driving for Truck Load Carrier of Tonawanda, New York. Erik was a member of the Newark Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. A true mountain man at heart, Erik loved everything out of doors and was a well loved and generous man.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Barbara Luegering Loghry; his daughter Azalea Erika Loghry of Newark; his mother Sue Ellen Chaney of Shady Cove, OR.; four siblings Gwinevere Chaney of Eagle Point, OR., Gaylen Loghry of Glendale, OR., Michelle Coryell-Jackson of Troutdale, OR. and Gina Combs of Shady Cove, OR.; numerious nieces and nephews. Erik was predeceased by his father Albert.
