Rochester/Newark –Florence Bush, 75, died Sunday (March 21, 2010) at the Monroe Community Hospital in Rochester.

          Friends may call from 4 -7 on Friday (March 26) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller St., Newark.  Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 7 P.M.  Burial will be in East Palmyra Cemetery.

          Mrs. Bush was born on June 15, 1934 in Newark, the daughter of Albert and Eloise Van Norman.  She was a 1952 graduate of Newark High School and received her training to be a registered nurse at the Willard State Hospital.  Florence was a nurse and supervisor at the Rochester Psychiatric Center for over 30 years, retiring in 1990.

          Surviving are a son Thomas Bush of East Rochester, a daughter Ann MacLaren of Binghamton, four grandchildren Cynthia  and Joshua Bush, Molly King and Zackary MacLaren,  her sister Elelyn MacLaren, brothers Peirson, Alfred, Leon, Hugh and Edward VanNorman, many nieces and nephews.  Florence was predeceased by a sister Esther Stiles, and brother Rev. George VanNorman.
