Florence Manor
Newark/Auburn—Florence Manor, 92, formerly of Peirson Avenue Newark, died Thursday (June 18, 2009) at the Finger Lakes Center for Living in Auburn where she has lived for the past fourteen years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Peter Clifford at 11 A.M. on Wednesday (June 24th) at St. Michael Church in Newark. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.
Memorials in her name may be made to your local food closet or to the Finger Lakes Center for Living Recreation Department, 20 Park Avenue, Auburn, New York 13021.
Mrs. Manor, the daughter of late John and Julia Kon, was born on August 3, 1916, in Oswego, where she lived until before moving to Newark in 1960. She was a communicate of St. Michael’s Church. Florence was a self-employed Real Estate Broker in Newark from1961 to 1982.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Georgina and Peter Farinelli of Auburn, a son-in-law James Case of Newark, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a sister Elizabeth “Ella” (Bill) McIlwaine of Franklinville, several nieces and nephews . Florence was predeceased by her husband George in 1988, a daughter Florence Case in 1991, a sister Amelia Molinari, brothers Stanley, Henry, Bill, Ted, Ed, Fred and Alex Kon.
