Newark-  Florence Scutella, 77, passed away Thursday (October 17, 2013), at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Friends may call fron 1-4 P.M. on Sunday (October 20th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Monday (Oct.21th) at St. Michael Church, S. Main St., Newark.Entombment will be in White Haven Memorial Park, Perinton. Memorials, in her name, may be made to the American Heart Association, 3500 Winton Place, Rochester, NY 14623  

Mrs. Scutella was born October 29, 1935, in Clyde the daughter of William and Mabel Carr O'Brien.

She was a 1953 graduate of Clyde High School.She had been a secretary at Comstock Foods.Florence left Comstocks to become a dedicated wife and mother. She was a communicant of St. Michael Church.

She is survived by two sons Steven (Donna) of Rochester and David (Laurie) of Webster;  three grandchildren Jamie, Joseph and Nick; a brother Edison (Sadie) O'Brien of Newark, several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her loving husband Rocco in September 2013, siblings William, John, Gertrude and Ruth Ann O'Brien; Ella Marie Pierce and Frances Boden.
