Newark"Frank S. Guchone, 94, died Thursday (Dec. 29, 2005) at the House of John in Clifton Springs.
Friends may call from 3-5 PM on Sunday (Jan.1st) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 AM on Monday (Jan. 2nd) at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark with Father Peter Clifford officiating. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery,

Mr. Guchone was born on September 10, 1911, in Islon, Pennsylvania the son of John Sa Franiec and Mary Pruzenska. In his earlier years Frank was a share crop farmer and for twenty years he was a carpenter at the New York Central Railroad Car Shop retiring in 1970. He then worked as a self-employed carpenter and a mechanic repairing motorcycles. He was a member of the Wayne County Motor Cycle Club.
Frank is survived by two sons Francis E. Guchone of Newark, William (Rosemary) Guchone of East Palmyra, two daughters Merikay Byrd of Hennrietta, Cecile (Francis) Ruffalo of Newark, seventeen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, a brother John Guchone of West Seneca, a sister Anne Rumsey of E. Bloomfield and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson Teddy Guchone and a sister Mary Chramberlain.
