Newark—Georgia Cook, 75, died Monday (Aug 3, 2009) at the Clifton Springs Hospital.

          Friends are invited to a graveside funeral service at 1 PM on Thursday (August 6, 2009) at Riverview Cemetery, County Road 25, Phelps, New York.

          Memorials in her name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

          Mrs. Cook was born on April 28, 1934, in Cumberland, Maryland, the daughter of Harry A. and Leona M. Wilkins Hale.  At one time, she had been a secretary for Arcadia Motors and for Roy Mason Distributing.   In her retirement, Georgia was a foster grandparent at Perkins School for over eight years.

She survived by her husband of twenty-nine years Roger, a daughter Debra (Daniel) Griepsma and a son Keith (Betsy) Ross both of Newark, ten grandchildren, two great granddaughters, a brother James (Kathryn) Hale of Newberry, SC.  Georgia was predeceased by a son Kim Ross.
