Friends may call from 12 " 1 PM on Wednesday (November 19th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark where funeral services follow at 1 PM. Burial will be in the Newark Cemetery.

Memorials in her name may be made to the First Baptist Church, 133 East Miller Street, Newark, New York 14513.

Mrs. Thompson was born on June 20, 1907, in Newark, the daughter of Warren and Jessie Collister Bartle. She was a life long member of the Newark Baptist Church. For many years she was a secretary for the C. H. Stuart Company, retiring in 1972.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Gert was predeceased by her husband S. LeRoy Thompson in 2004.
